Program Description:
Business students from Concordia will be going to Steyr, Austria for International Week, hosted by our partner school, Upper Austria University. There will be guest lectures and engaging discussions during the Cross-Cultural Business Conference. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge from experienced professionals, meet students from across the world, and experience a new culture. Students will also be ale to experience the beauty of Austria during an included day-trip to Linz in the Austrian Alps. 
Additionally, this program includes a few travel days in Munich and Vienna to further enhance the learning experience.

Students who join this program will be required to register for one of the following courses:

Graduates-              MIB 570: Cross-Cultural Business Conference (3 credits)
Undergraduates-   MGMT 450: International Business (3 credits)

These courses are listed in the Spring 2019 semester.

Travel Dates

2019: May 10th-19th, 2019*

*For undergraduate students, the travel portion of this course takes place during Spring finals week. If you intend to participate, you will need to arrange with your other professors to take your final exams early. The Austria trip leads are happy to provide a letter that you can give to your professors to certify your need to take exams early.


This course is led by Assistant Professor Erik Hollander of the School of Business Administration. Prof. Hollander has led this program for multiple consecutive years, and is the best person to contact for questions about this program. 


  • This program is open to all students, but is particularly geared toward graduate and undergraduate Business students. 
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the institution.
  • Must register for one of the associated courses. 
  • Must comply with all deadlines for applications, document submissions, deposits and other payments.


  • Program Fees: $2,500*
  • Tuition (3 credits)**
  • Study Abroad Fee: $50
  • iNext Insurance Costs: $50
*This is a rough estimate. Final cost will be determined in late 2018. 
**For full-time traditional undergraduates, there is no additional charge for tuition as long as the 3-credit course does not put you over 18 credits for the Spring semester. Graduates will pay the standard per credit rate for the course.
